The SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft splashed down Friday off the coast of U.S. state of Florida, marking the return of the company’s 28th cargo resupply mission for the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The spacecraft splashed down at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time Friday off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida. It carried approximately 3,600 pounds of valuable scientific experiments and other cargo back to Earth.
The spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time Thursday.
The Dragon cargo spacecraft was launched June 5 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. It arrived at the ISS on June 6, delivering more than 7,000 pounds of research investigations, crew supplies, and station hardware.
